​We place great emphasis on technology at our school since we believe that students should be 21st Century learners. A positive classroom atmosphere with technological advances is considered vital so that teachers and students can learn by utilizing the latest technological advances. Highpoint’s PTO raises thousands of dollars each year in order to invest in the constant upgrading of our technological resources. Our goal is to allow the students to explore, create, enjoy and learn with these resources.
 
Our technology includes:

• A website just for “Highpoint Families” that serves as a valuable information tool for both parents and students.
• Teachers create an maintain their own Classroom Websites where they post HW assignments, announcements, reminders, photos/videos of their students and more.
• Wireless network with high-speed and secure access throughout the Campus.
• Students utilize their iPads for their Ebooks and for the numerous educational resources available. 
• Interactive SMARTBoards or ClearTouch screens in every classroom.
• Apple TV's in elementary and middle school classrooms implemented to facilitate integration with computers and iPads for screen sharing.
• Apple iMac computers for all teachers inside every classroom.
• "Classroom by Apple" provides remote device management with many features that assist teachers managing the technology.
• Students are taught how to utilize software programs to learn, to create impressive presentations, take notes, complete assignments and do projects. These include Keynote, Pages, Notability, Showbie, iMove, Spark Video, Tele Prompter, Ten Marks for Math, and more.
• "Highpoint News Network” channel where students conduct research, write, direct, produce and act in our own news program that is broadcast weekly in every classroom.
• 24/7 high-definition video surveillance cameras throughout every exterior area of the Campus and inside Grades 1 to 8 classrooms.
• “KoolGround” Tracker system:
  ~ All students are required to scan their Photo ID badges so their attendance and whereabouts can be continuously tracked.
  ~ Parent communication tool, Teacher Grade Book and Parent Portal. Parents can log on and track their child’s academic progress at any time from any device.
• Technology is utilized to blast messages to our entire school community simultaneously via cell phone text, email and audio messages.
