ADMISSION TO ELEMENTARY

Elementary (Grades K to 5)

LINK TO ADMISSIONS PAGE
Enrollment at Highpoint is limited to space availability and results of our "Admissions Assessment."  Parents interested in registering their child at our school must do the following:
  • Send an email to [email protected] with parent's name, child's name, date of birth, current grade, school last attended and any other information pertinent to the child.  Parent will be contacted within 24 hours to schedule a Tour of our Campus.
  • Student can then be scheduled for an "Admissions Assessment." This will include the administration of a standardized Woodcock-Johnson Test of Achievement (WJIII) and a brief assessment in core subjects. (There is a non-refundable $75.00 Testing Fee.)
  • Individual Student Assessments must be scheduled in advance.  They will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In addition to the academic assessment, the student's maturity, overall attitude, respect for authority, willingness to do their best, and overall conduct will be observed and assessed during a regular school day.
  • Parent will be asked to submit documentation from previous school, including final or current Report Card, Progress Report(s), last two years of Standardized Test Scores, any Awards or Recognitions, and any Psycho-Ed reports or IEP's.
  • Our Program Director and/or Admissions Director will then schedule an in person or virtual meeting (via Zoom) with both the Parent(s) and the Student if necessary; (link will be provided.) Parent will be notified if their child is at a level that corresponds to what is expected within our curriculum. Results of the combined evaluations will determine eligibility for enrollment at our school.
  • Once child is accepted, the "Registration Contract" and the "Student Information Form" needs to be completed by the Parent and submitted electronically.  Once all forms, and the annual Registration Fee is paid, the enrollment process is complete.
  • Kindergarten applicants:  Must turn (5) five years old before September 1st *
MAIN CAMPUS

Only average to above-average students that meet all our admission requirements will be accepted. We require all students to take Spanish classes with the goal of making them fully bilingual. We focus on teaching Character Education, including  core Values, dining etiquette, good manners and healthy eating habits.
