What does Highpoint offer?

We offer an advanced curriculum, bilingual education, the latest technology, hands-on learning, a family-style environment, very small classes, numerous extra-curricular classes & much more!  Highpoint focuses on meeting the needs of each individual child by challenging our high achievers with advanced academic programs or providing our average students with as much one-on-one attention as possible. With small student-teacher ratios, our teachers are able to focus on meeting the individual needs of each child as they teach them with love. Unlike Public/Charter Schools, we don't "teach for the test" at Highpoint. Our students take the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT-10) every year and their average National Stanine scores are in the 60-70 percentile of the Country.

We also offer the option of our "Coral Way Campus" to those students who require a more individualized school setting due to their different learning styles. At our Coral Way Campus, a unique arrangement of teaching procedures, adapted equipment and materials, accessible settings, and other interventions designed to help learners with special needs achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and increased self-esteem.Students struggling at Main Campus may be encouraged to transfer to our Coral Way Campus. This can be either a temporary or permanent transition. Students that make necessary academic and social-emotional gains, can transition back seamlessly.  www.highpointacademy.com/coral-way-campus.html

Why is Highpoint so special?

Our students are encouraged to be leaders, innovators, explorers and creators and to excel by reaching or exceeding their potential. We focus on making sure that each child is happy and that they grow up to be responsible, ethical and successful adults of tomorrow. Our very small student-teacher ratios, family-style environment, individualized learning, teachings of character education and core values, an emphasis on bilingual education, and healthy eating, all make us unique.

Parent Communication

Good communication between Teachers and Parents is essential for a child's success in school. Teachers hold individual Parent-Teacher meetings  quarterly in order to discuss each child's progress. Teachers also have their own websites which serve as an easily accessible communication tool.  Homework, projects, events, reminders, photos and videos are posted by every teacher daily. Additionally, for grades 1 to 8, teachers can see their child's grades electronically at any time. Parents also receive text/voice blasts and emails from the Administration on a regular basis.

Our Faculty and Staff

Our Teachers are all degreed, dedicated and enthusiastic.  Over 80% of our Faculty has worked at Highpoint for 15 years or more. They teach beyond what is written in books and work with total dedication to childhood.  They understand that they are making a difference in the lives of children and therefore, in our future! (see Faculty & Staff in "About Us.")
