RULES &

REGULATIONS

 

Safety is essential!  It is important for you to make sure

your child  understands these rules so that he/she can

have a fun and safe Summer experience.

 

REQUIRED ATTIRE:  Students must wear the following each day:

·          A gold Highpoint Summer T-Shirt  must be worn on field trip days with comfortable bermuda-style shorts.  No micro shorts allowed.

·          Tennis shoes with socks required at all times (no sandals, clogs or platform shoes allowed).

·          We suggest a fanny pack be used for Field Trips to keep personal belongings.

·          Campers should wear sunscreen during Field Trips.

 

GROUPS:  Children will be divided into groups of not more than 15 campers, per age group, with at least one adult Counselor.

 

BEHAVIOR:  All campers are expected to respect each other and to follow rules at all times. All kinds of harassment will be investigated accordingly and consequences will be assigned per Highpoint Academy’s published harassment policies. Campers are expected to follow all rules and to be cooperative at all times. In case of any inappropriate incident or behavior, camper may be placed on “time out” for a period of up to 10 minutes at a time, in the shade. Campers that once again fail to abide by rules, or that are being disrespectful, disruptive, disobedient, or that act inappropriately repeatedly, will be placed on probation or may be immediately expelled from Camp, depending on the offense. Parents will be contacted and no monies will be refunded.

 

ITEMS NOT ALLOWED AT ANY TIME:

·  Chewing Gum

·  Jewelry (maximum of one earring on each ear, one ring and one bracelet on

 each hand and one thin chain)

·  Knives of any kind, beepers/pagers, cell phones, electronic toys, games or other expensive items, etc.

NOTE: Highpoint Academy employees will not be held liable for ANY lost articles, toys, jewelry, etc. that Camper brings to the campus.

    

PICK-UP:  All Campers must be dropped off BEFORE 9:00 a.m. and  picked up NO LATER than 6:00 p.m.  There will be the customary late pick-up fee of $3.50 for each 15 minute fraction that child is picked up late after 6:00 p.m.. This amount must be paid that day, in cash, directly to the staff member that is taking care of your child.

 

TELEPHONE:  Our “Voice Mail” system will be on most of the day in case you need to leave a message.  If you have an emergency and need to speak to someone, please dial “0” or stay on line and wait for a few rings for someone to answer. Campers are not allowed to be called to the phone or to make outgoing calls.

 

THE FRONT DOOR may be locked after 1:00 p.m. for the safety of our children.
