Admissions Process

Students enrolled at our Main Campus and Middle School Campus are required to abide by a rigorous and challenging academic curriculum. Only average to above-average students who meet all our admission requirements will be accepted.
Our ESE Campus (soon to be known as our Coral Way Campus) accepts children with Special Needs, including high-functioning Autism, that meet all our admission requirements.
All K-8 students that wish to enroll at Highpoint Academy will be scheduled for an evaluation prior to being accepted.

Pre-School (ages 2 to 5)
Enrollment is based on availability.
Students will be placed in the grade level that
corresponds with their chronological age,
using September 1st as the cut-off date.

Note:  Students born between September 1st and October 31st may be admitted or promoted based on both our teacher's recommendation and the observation of numerous readiness areas.  These areas include, but are not limited to, the following:  maturity, social skills, sense of responsibility, language and communication abilities, manual dexterity and overall academic readiness.

Elementary and Middle School
(Grades 1 thru 8)

Before a student is admitted to our school,
the following must take place:

  • Student applying must spend a full day at our school, in the corresponding grade, and take a general "Admissions Test".
    (
There is a $50.00 Testing Fee).
  • During Testing day, Teachers will evaluate the student in several areas. These include observation of student's maturity, overall attitude, discipline, social interaction, responsibility, respect for authority, effort and willingness to learn, overall conduct and general knowledge.
  • Teacher will then submit an "Admissions Evaluation" form with comments on their observations and their recommendations for admission.
  • Principal will interview student individually and then hold conference with parent(s), and sometimes the student, in the afternoon.
  • Previous Progress Reports, school records and Standardized Test results will be carefully reviewed.
  • Results of these combined Evaluations will determine eligibility.  (Final decisions regarding admission are made by the Principal/Owner).
  • STUDENTS ENTERING 1st GRADE... In addition to the above, a Kindergarten Diploma from a reputable school must be submitted.
    (
Please see Note above with regard to age requirements for admission to 1st Grade).
