GENERAL ADMISSION INFORMATION

Admissions

Highpoint's Admission Departments are committed to making the process of admissions seamless and enjoyable. We will assist you through every step of the process and help you understand the testing and application process, timeline requirements, and more. We will also guide you through the process of obtaining one of the many Scholarships that are available to qualifying families and/or students.
Enrollment at Highpoint is limited to space availability and results of our "Admissions Assessment."  Parents interested in registering their child at our school must do the following:
  • Send an email to info@highpointacademy.com with parent's name, child's name, date of birth, current grade, school last attended and any other information pertinent to the child.  Parent will be contacted within 24 hours to schedule a Tour of our Campus.
  • Student can then be scheduled for an "Admissions Assessment." This will include the administration of a standardized Woodcock-Johnson Test of Achievement and a brief assessment in core subjects. (There is a non-refundable $75.00 Testing Fee.)
  • Individual Student Assessments must be scheduled in advance.  K-8 Student Assessments will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pre-School Assessments will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
  • In addition to the academic assessment, the student's maturity, overall attitude, respect for authority, willingness to do their best, and overall conduct will be observed and assessed during a regular school day.
  • Parent will be asked to submit documentation from previous school, including final or current Report Card, Progress Report(s), last two years of Standardized Test Scores, any Awards or Recognitions, and any Psycho-Ed reports or IEP's.
  • Our Program Director and/or Admissions Director will then schedule an in person or virtual meeting (via Zoom) with both the Parent(s) and the Student if necessary; (link will be provided.) Parent will be notified if their child is at a level that corresponds to what is expected within our curriculum. Results of the combined evaluations will determine eligibility for enrollment at our school.
  • Once child is accepted, the "Registration Contract" and "Student Information Form" needs to be completed by the Parent and submitted electronically.  Once all forms, and the annual Registration Fee is paid, the enrollment process is complete.
MAIN CAMPUS
Students enrolled at our MAIN CAMPUS are required to abide by a rigorous and challenging academic curriculum. Only average to above-average students that meet all our admission requirements will be accepted. All K-8 students that wish to enroll at Highpoint Academy will be scheduled for an evaluation prior to being accepted.

CORAL WAY CAMPUS
Our Coral Way Campus enrolls children with varying exceptionalities, including ADHD, learning disabilities, high-functioning Autism and Asperger's Syndrome that meet all our admission requirements. All K-8 students that wish to enroll at Highpoint Academy's Coral Way Campus will be scheduled for an evaluation prior to being accepted to verify that we can meet the needs of the child.
